Brand New and Out of Date

Ragnarok Online 2!!

The sequel to Ragnarok online, Ragnarok Online 2 has finally come out. The game itself does not require an introduction, as it was one of the most widely playe game. The sequel took a very long time to be made since it was scrapped due to changes Gravity Corp wanted to make, sensing that their title was not going to live up to its expectations.
Just like Ragnarok Online, Ragnarok Online 2 still has the class selection, but with more changes. There is still all of the classes Archer, Swordsman, Thief and Magician. Yes they removed the merchant classes as you now can take professions. Such as Chef, Alhemist, Blacksmith and Artisan.
The game itself has changed quite a bit and the developers of Ragnarok 2 has taken a lot of considerations when they created this game. They changed the graphics and overall control. Now instead of just point and click like how it was, you can now move with WASD keys. Clicking is still in this game for fans of it.
The card system to upgrade your items is still in the game. No it is not Trading Cards, its more like gems that enchant your weapons and armor and gives them special effects and abilities. These cards can be found through monster drops and through NPC combination crafting. Now there is a card book instead of taking up inventory space, which allows you to switch out cards for certain circumstances. With selection of how you can play, either social or casual or even hardcore Ragnarok Online 2 can give you all of that. There is many fun things to do in Ragnarok, such as showing off the cute gears you may find that you wouldnt have in other games.Other than those changes the game itself is still grinding levels and hunting for gears. Nothing new from other mmorpg.
Overall it is a solid game, it has solid mechanics, a real end game. It has interesting player versus environment that gives players something to look forward to in the end game. Player versus Player is as expected from Gravity. Very fast paced and skill based but also gear dependant. This game is still just another mmorpg even with all of the hype. Sorry Gravity, perhaps you were a few years too late. Still a great game to play but possibly just out of its time.
