Good bye $2
Defination of forfeiting: http://hontour.com/pages/rules/
Is conceding the same as forfeiting?
S2 Games screwed up yet again, and this could be the end of Heroes of Newerth. On March 10th, there was a tournament (HoNTour) match involving compLexity Gaming and Absolute Legends. Two of which are highly popular teams of the HoN Community. They were both penalized for aparently "forfeiting". Complexity lost half their prize pool money and Absolute Legends were given a warning. The problems occured due to two tournament matches occuring simultanously due to rescheduling, HoN Tour Losers Bracket Finals as well as Sound Blaster Heroes League match.
Complexity's Captain Peter also known as Franzzii knew this would require some repercussions therefore he messaged the hontour admins as well as the opposing team that they may be playing against. Both StayGreen and Absolute Legends agreed to give Complexity time to finish their matches to play in the final.
The HonTour admin Milkfat/Sam brought up an irrelevant statement of how European didnt't have daylight savings time. After Peter asked for some "wiggle" room to make it possible to play all the games. Sam also on the day of the tournament, said that if Complexity gave them more of a heads up then they could have reschedule. Sam knows that both events were on the same day and same time a week ahead of schedule due to a weekly podcast that he is on.
Charles also known as chuck64 another HoNTour admin told Peter that he was not informed of this ruling and also stated that it was not an admin ruling, but a "Sam" ruling. S2 Games being as professional as ever. Claiming that these teams were not being professional.
Ozan known as RoLand, who is also a HoNTour admin threatened Complexity for throwing the match. Saying that they should not joke around, throwing a game. RoLand's final statement was "They can concede when they want to." when told that Absolute Legends should have 15minute concede. So apparently Absolute Legends can concede whenever without being penalized but Complexity cannot.
All of the HoNTour admins did not talk to each other, and did not work with each other. The tournament has gone to shit, and S2 Games are losing many of their player base due to the fact that professional gaming teams are quitting the HoN scene to find admins that give a shit about the community instead of how much money they make.
