Imagine playing your Xbox 360 or your PS3 with no Internet. Pretty crazy eh? As much as I love playing single player games, I love even more playing multiplayer games. This is the time you get to interact with other players online, be it your friends or some random people that happen to be in the same lobby as you. Yes, there's a bunch of shit talk and crazies online but that makes it even more appealing. Listening to what some of these players have to say about you or your mom is hilarious. It's what makes the online community so much fun to be around.
Not only that but think about all of the great deals and even better games you would be missing out on. Take Fez for example, you would not be able to play this indie game any other way but downloading it from the Internet onto your console. That's a huge miss! Also, all of the deals that you see advertised on the side of the dashboard or in the play station store of awesome games that you may be paying a higher price for if you were to get it from a local game store.
The Internet, kind of scary, but awesome at the same time has become the god of our world. Because of the internet we are closer then ever and I think nerds like us (yes you're a nerd) are attracted to the fact that we don't have to leave our couches to play some badass games with our friends.
