Coll Regan Devs should own up

The recent failed release of Aliens: Colonial Marines has highlighted a huge problem in the industry, and that is the fact of developers not owning up to their mistakes. This has been proven again in the release of Simcity as EA has just been posting huge amounts of excuses for their current problems. In the case of Aliens, it was told as developed by Gearbox, but after the terrible reviews and outrage it received then they came out and said they outsourced the campaign to Timegate studios, because they were focused on games like Borderlands. I believe it's crazy that they just left this game on the backburner to make their popular game, then when they didn't have time they gave it to someone else. Gearbox then tried to keep the blame focused on the other studio while saying they only did the online, which was also a total mess. They just continue to shrug off the blame and the ceo for Gearbox has been saying that the criticism isn't worth his time, this is astounding as even though his game looked better in a year old E3 demo he continues to support it.
When companies dance around the issue at hand and constantly ignore their fans and consumers, how do they expect to sell more and have a loyal fanbase? These companies don't seem to care as people continue to buy their games even if they are a steaming pile of shit. Hey, they fooled me, I unfortunately pre ordered Aliens thinking it would at least be as good as its old demo. I was apparently very wrong as it looks and plays terribly, and considering Aliens is one of my favourite movies I am extremely disappointed. In these companies there has to be at least one person who is responsible for the overall development of each specific game and this person, whoever they are, should stand up and be held responsible for their games failings. If this was the outlook of the industry then the lead of the projects would always be working to make the game the best and these games may not just be released for a quick buck, but maybe to actually be a good successful game. I mean they can only do this to a certain extent, they have to stand behind their games, but also accept criticism and factor it in on their next project. Not just constantly shoot any criticizing comments down and mention how they are not worth your time, this comes off as very arrogant and it's not a good way to handle consumers.
