Unity is one of the best game engines that are used in the video game industry. I been playing on Kongregate when it came out when they announced that they will be support Unity, I was amaze how much Unity made games were on the site. This engine is one of the best engines we have today because it was used to develop popular games we have today. Many developers reach out to use Unity because it is simple to use and school use it because it is simple to teach.

Unity is great for game developers and programmers. It is used to make programs on your phone, desktop computer and web plugins. In November last year, it supports all gaming platforms which makes this game engine cross-platform. Upcoming platform includes Windows 8, Winphone8, Blackberry 10 and WiiU. It also has enhancements in which is other common engines have such as well.

Great games that came out on the Unity engine were Temple Run, Slender, Endless Space and Guns of Icarus Online. These games were really successful and became popular because these games were really easy to make. There are a total of ten more games coming out using the engine. It has gathered many developers to continue to use the engine due to its easy to use feel.

There are many flash game websites that has featured Unity games. A noticeable website is Kongregate, a website where game developers can host their made games on the site for free or even for profit. Unity is a reason how flash game gaming has evolved. Years ago, flash games were really 2D like but now we have games that are 3D and could be set to run in full screen mode. These games don't even feel like a flash game but instead it feels like a video game product running on a website.

Unity is a great engine where it serves the game industry by making games where at a high level. I can't wait to learn how to use Unity in the next classes in the school. This program is great to use and I hope it will advance the level of other game engines such as UDK and SOURCE engine.
